Trip Report: A very enjoyable route that weaves in and out from Hwy 61 along the Northshore. Highlights of the trip were passing Beaver River Falls in Beaver Bay, traversing Split Rock State Park end to end, and finishing over Gooseberry Falls. The run felt fast and miles were easy, aided by rolling hills and a tailwind. Not being in the greatest biking shape, this made the ride back the more challenging aspect of the adventure. Although gradual, the long climb from Beaver Bay back to Silver Bay on the bike gassed my legs and I was happy to be finished! All around a great adventure with beautiful sights, especially during the Spring months when we are all waiting for the trails to dry from the melt.
